Welcome to Orange County TMS Therapy Center

A tiny little area in the brain, called Area 25 for lack of a better name, contains wiring affecting mood, emotion and thought. In depression, these wires are hyperactive. When the wires get crossed, it means suspension of normality in mood, thought and emotion. Typically prescribed antidepressant medications mute this hyperactivity, resulting in normal moods and emotions, for a little while at least. However, these medications have side effects which are intolerable to some patients. Therefore, methods of treating depression which are non-invasive, meaning non-operable, have been sought. Psychiatrists and Neurologists recommend TMS therapy, as a method of such treatment, which can be found in Laguna Hills, California.

    Our Services

Neurologists are studying the effects of TMS on pain neurotransmitters in the brain and have high hopes for treatment of migraine headaches. Why? Because the effects of this treatment on the cortex of the brain affect the depolarization of the wiring.

About Us

Transcranial magnetic stimulation, or TMS, is studied by both neurologists and psychiatrists. A module is held just above the skull, much like a hair dryer would be, aimed at this tiny brain area. The qualified therapist or the Laguna Hills, California doctor will set the pulses going for a forty minute outpatient session. This is performed daily for about four weeks. The treatment is drug-free, meaning no sedation, and the patient is awake and alert during the procedure.
